Our Centre is moving forward. We went ahead with a meeting on 14th September, after a gap of 18 months. It was stimulating and reassuring to see old friends again, and to share each other’s company once more. A good number of members came along to share this opportunity.
An interim programme of meetings is now in place, and there are plans for future speakers. We remain cautious, but confidence is growing. We are looking at a modest programme of coach outings, as well as holding a Centre Dinner with a guest speaker. We are exploring the possibility of going ahead with the Anglesey holiday in October 2022. All these ideas can regarded as “work in progress”, but success does depend on the active support and the enthusiasm of Centre members.
Membership is a key issue that we have to address and focus upon. We do need to attract new members. Too many NT members are not aware that local groups, such as our Wyre Forest and District Centre, actually exist. Hopefully, they will join us to enhance their involvement with the National Trust.
Despite our limited activity, our financial recourses enabled us to make the following donations to NT properties this year:

We look forward to rising the Centre’s profile in the coming months, The momentum seems to be building up, with signs of definite progress
