Christmas Lunch
2nd December 2025
This event was once again held at Hagley Golf Club. Those attending had an early start to the festive season.
After an enjoyable meal, the Centre’s chairman, Chris Fonteyn, gave a presentation entitled “reminiscences of a Retired Magistrate”. His talk covered his 16 years serving as a magistrate on the Black Country bench, including a brief history of the magistracy, how he was appointed, the work undertaken, and a number of anecdotes.
This was a relaxed, social occasion, which proved popular with members.

For the second year running the team at Hanbury Hall hosted a Summer soiree at the property. This proved to be a popular event with some 60 people in our group. Members from the North Worcestershire Association were also in attendance. After a welcome by Becky White, General Manager, drinks and a buffet were provided. This was followed by opportunities to learn of projects featuring in plans for the property, including a focus on the paintings of Sir James Thronhill within the Hall. Overall this was an enjoyable social event, Those present appreciated the hospitality of the Hanbury team.
