Soiree at Hanbury Hall
For the 3rd year running a soiree was held at Hanbury Hall for members of the Wyre Forest and District and North Worcestershire supporter groups. More than 50 of our centre members attended.
Michelle Fullard, general manager, Worcestershire, welcomed us and introduced the members of the team. Michelle said the support from the two supporter groups was greatly valued and appreciated, and so important. She outlined projects, both current and planned for the future, relating to the properties within the Worcestershire portfolio. Michelle referred to the marvellous team of volunteers – about 780 – who gave their time in support of the NT at these properties.
After a generous and very enjoyable buffet, those present were split into 3 groups and were taken on short tours of the garden, the clocks within the hall, and the dairy and cheese room. It is hoped to re- open the dairy to visitors once again.
Returning for dessert and further drinks, we then spent time relaxing and socialising – the perfect way to spend a bit and sunny July evening. As we left for home, after a happy and successful event, we saw a glorious and impressive sunset, bathing the Hall in a magical light.
