Christmas Treat: 4th December 2023
Hagley Golf Club
It was relief to escape the gloom and torrential rain and enter the warm and welcoming atmosphere of Hagley Golf Club for our Christmas Lunch, an early start to the festive season.
David Hickman was our guest speaker. Over the years David has sorted through the letters to the editor’s section of the Guardian and has built up a collection of informative and amusing items. He has been a loyal reader of the newspaper for some time and his talk reflected the range of letters sent in by readers. David’s light-hearted presentation suited the occasion admirably.
Lunch was a happy and successful event. Those present experienced good food and first-rate company, and it set the scene for the Christmas period.
